Presenting a recital and marriage of art

Villa Musica presents its quarterly ensemble with art.  This is a wonderful program of merging local art with musicians.  Matching the artist with  musicians is an innovative way to experience the arts.  Paring Cheryl Ehlers with a musician will not be that difficult, as she brings, color and excitement to her solo exhibit "Rhapsody".

Ehlers creations are imaginative and representative of  music at many levels.  A 16 piece collection of acrylics on canvas, and giclees' are  all musically themed, and are broad and colorful, and most certainly capture the viewer’s imagination.

Exhibit by private invitation with reception to follow and  located in Sorrento Valley at 10373 Roselle Street, Ste. 170, San Diego, CA  92121.

Students Effort Support Underserved Students with Art

At a December 11^th holiday bazaar hosted by the San Dieguito Art Guild, The Stardust Arts brought out the talents of many and the creativity of all young art students.

Participating in their first holiday bazaar to raise funds for underserved , students created a rainbow of items for the holiday. Ornaments, beautiful holiday cards, painted birdhouses and boxes amazed onlookers to know that they were created by 2^nd – third grades from South Oceanside Elementary School and the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Dieguito,  Griset Branch in Encinitas. Additional Fund raising items were donated by Vicky Kays of Carlsbad, Friends of Stardust Parents, 2 Standup Guys, Carlsbad, Karla Nederhof, Jewler of Rancho Bernardo, Tony Shelfo of Oceanside and the Boys and Girls Club of Carlsbad, CA.

Stardust student Kyle Cotton, and his parents of Oceanside, showed their support for the students and arrived just in time to see Kyle’s beautiful beach box, and cards purchased by Ethel Merritt, a previous developer of grant programs for the arts..”This is wonderful to see my sons; first sale”, stated Johnna  and Kurt Cotton, the proud parents , as they watched their  son beam with pride as he reached out to Ethel with a “thank you for supporting The Stardust Arts”, to their delight.

In 2012 we  served over 832 children during the event. What a treat!
